SS2 has started

So it's the beginning of the new semester, or SSII, and I feel that this class will be a breeze when compared to the nightmare that was Sanchez, the Stats Nazi. Anyway, so my professor is really nice and he's a PhD student whose major is Finance but even for a Finance major he seems normal. Kidding to all those Finance majors, which I doubt even visit my blog. Anyway, my group seems like an okay bunch but what I'm really looking forward to is finishing this session so I can have at least 2 weeks of zero classes. Then my final semester should start in late August which looks to be memorable.

Anyway, enough of this crap, how you doin'?

Work Problems/Ripping my hair out!

Oscars doubling best-picture nominees to 10 (AP)

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. - The best-picture lineup at the Academy Awards is
doubling from five films to 10, a move organizers said Wednesday will open the
field to more worthy movies and possibly boost the ceremony's TV ratings.
The change, which was approved Tuesday night by the board of governors for
the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, takes effect at next year's
Oscars on March 7. The plan is a return to Oscar traditions of the 1930s and '40s, when a best-picture field of 10 or more films was common.

Honestly, I think I like this idea. Some will argue that a lot of crap might get nominated but a lot of movies are overlooked. Though, I think 10 is a lot. Maybe like 7 or 8 would be good enough.

X-Files: I Wanna watch Sum Moar!!!

Yeah, that's a totally random picture of Fox Mulder & Dana Scully but I thought it was more interesting than the cover art for the DVDs. Oh yeah, I've started a new show and this one is an "oldie" and by "oldie" I mean a show I didn't watch when it was being aired originally. Anyway, so far I've seen the first season and I'm in the middle of the 2nd season. I like it a lot but what I didn't care for in the first season was that Scully was always "away" doing FBI investigating while Mulder was being raped by freaks. Glad to see that at the end of the first season Scully was debating with Mulder's source about who should trade the baby alien for Mulder. Anyway....um,...I like the show if you like it.
