Now, I'm REALLY PISSED!!!

Word on the street, or if you'd like, the industry insiders tell me that the Golden Globes might be cancelled due to the writers strike! And if not cancelled, then with very little star support.
(Click on title for link) or another non-credible website:

I originally found out about this from Perezhilton.com but since it's a blog I tried looking for a credible source on Yahoo! but all I could find was Earthtimes.com, so if you'd rather have the better read then go to the hilton one. :)...wait, I mean...>:-(

WHATEVER. You are pissed over this stupid award show that nobody really cares about being canceled, yet you seem to be mostly indifferent about Lost, Grey's Anatomy and Ugly Betty getting shortened seasons. I mean, seriously. Nobody remembers or cares about who won last year's golden globes because they are insignificant. By the way, perez hilton? Really?

Or not, hahaha. The stupid link did not fully paste. Anyways, it's a autographed complete series of my so called life. Now the bidding is up to 130 dollars with like 7 days to go!

Come on, Timmy, don't be like that.

It also said about affecting the Oscars douche! And that jackass got wind of it somewhere else. I don't give a flying fuck what you think of the Globes. To me, it's where the awards season really begins, then followed by SAGs and Oscars. I could care less about the BAFTA's and shit. :)

I'm sorry was that mean? Pfft...

It's not only what I think, but the majority of people don't really care about this award show. It is based on votes of like 70 foreign press members. I am suppose to get excited about this?

I was attacking you, but was attacking the awards show. Somehow you mistook this as an personal attack hence the "I don't give a flying fuck what you think of the Globes." I know why you like it, for the exact same reason I care about TCA, upfronts, and stuff like that: it's something we really like and geek out over regardless of how insignificant it may seem. It was not an insult to you. The SAGs, although I would never watch them, I understand the importance of, since it's the same group of people voting. Golden Globes=70 members of the foreign press.

I was NOT attacking you. Oops, Freudian slip.

Ooh, controversy, who's this jerk, Timmy, anyway? Just ignore him, he seems like a real piece of work. I'm sure if he wasn't such a dick, he would keep his comments to himself.

I'm sure that was you. lol or not..

Anyway, from EW's blog:

The strike may mean star-free awards shows
Dec 12, 2007, 05:02 PM | by Gary Susman

Categories: Golden Globes, Grammys, Oscars 2008, Writer's Strike

How will the writers' strike affect all the upcoming movie awards shows? On the plus side, no groaner gag-lines ("Oprah, Obama. Obama, Oprah.") for returning Oscar host Jon Stewart. On the minus side, Stewart and most of the likely honorees may stay home rather than cross the picket lines. The only show that won't be affected is the Screen Actors Guild awards, since the unionized writers have granted their fellow labor stalwarts a pass for that one. Still, the rest of the shows could look like those from previous strike years, such as the 1988 Oscars, when the presenters wrote their own painful gags, or the 1980 Emmys, when almost no one showed up to collect their trophies. Kinda ironic, since the 2007 Oscars made a point of celebrating the work of screenwriters.

What do you think, PopWatchers? Will you watch star-free or nearly star-free awards shows? Does the SAG awards ceremony suddenly loom large on your winter calendar? Should stars show up anyway on awards night to celebrate artistic achievements that should exist in a larger context than the current labor strife? Should the writers grant all the shows a waiver for the same reason? Or should the writers and actors stick to their guns and not help support events that are, essentially, a promotional tool for the producers the writers are striking against?

Awesome. Katherine Heigl said that she's not attending the show because she doesn't want to cross the picket line and she's not contractually obligated to do attend the golden globes.

Yeah, it was me.

At the subscriber's request, this phone line is unable to receive calls. OK, well, if you get this, let me know what your schedule is for next week, so you know, we can plan accordingly. BTB,No Country for Old Men will be playing next week. That, immediately followed by P2, will be a good way to kick off the vacations. Hope to hear soon from you. (It's funny how there is a much higher chance of you responding to this than an email.)

lol yup. I still don't know what my schedule is but I'll probably post it on my blog for the WHOLE world to see :D

Or you could just email me. And you better do it fast because once I leave, I won't know what your schedule is until well after the fact.

Since I went last week and you have a 3 point lead (!) it would only be fair if you went first. But, since that is not possible:

I Am Legend is opening in 3600 screens. I am going to say 39 million. If you win this week, it's over.
